Our Future Plans

The SRC continues to move forward on rebuilding a facility that could be used by the entire community. It is the SRC Board's vision to create a gathering space for the entire Somerset Hill. An athletic facility on the pool level with a large gathering area on the second floor is being designed by the Johnston Partners Architects (view their Conceptual Design). The SRC is hoping to have everything from wedding receptions to Boy Scout meetings in this new Clubhouse.

Presently the Board is talking with the City of Bellevue Water Department regarding the removal of the abandoned water-holding vault on the east side of the pool. The removal of the vault is critical for the advancement of the project. The Water Department, with the help of the City Council, needs to approve the budget item to remove the vault and repair the grounds of the easement that has existed for the past four decades. We hope to have this part of the project complete by 2010.
